ProctorPave Gravel was recently installed in Mollington village, Oxfordshire. ProctorPave is distributed by the A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie in Perthshire, and is available in both Gravel and Grass versions. The access route to a local play area had problems with raised tree roots. An independent risk assessment of the play area were concerned that these could become a trip hazard, therefore Oxfordshire County Council were looking for a solution which could provide a suitable walking surface, but would also protect the tree roots from compaction.

The A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie has provided an individual solution for upgrading the thermal insulation of old modular classrooms at Methven Primary School using Spacetherm. The primary school in Perthshire had old modular classrooms for teaching, which although previously insulated, were not up to current standards. The nature of the modular construction also meant there was a cold bridge where the units were bolted together. Perth & Kinross Council specified Spacetherm, as its unique thermal performance was ideal, as space restrictions within the classrooms was critical.

The Brae Hotel in Brae, Shetland has recently undergone a facelift, with the addition of over 600m2 of Maibec Timber Cladding from the A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie. Atkins Architects, in Glasgow specified Maibec due to the owners’ request for a beautiful timber cladding with low maintenance requirements. As the Sheltand Islands are in a remote and exposed location, the warranties available on this product were extremely important to the clients. Maibec is a natural softwood timber, with an unrivalled 50 year warranty against rot and decay, and an 18 year warranty against peeling and blistering of the stained finish.

The A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie was approached by John Gilbert Architects in Glasgow for a unique solution to a problem of designing an insulated gutter. The building, in Bank Hall Street, Glasgow had an existing flat roof, and the challenge was to provide an insulated gutter which would not only achieve the same u-value as the main roof, but would also incorporate a taper to allow for drainage. As this was an existing roof, there was no easy option of increasing the roof height.

Spacetherm Blanket was recently utilised within the Imperial War Museum, London. The A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie supplied 20mm of their thin, highly efficient thermal insulation for installation on a barrel vault ceiling within the Musuem which opened at the Lambeth Road site in 1936. The Museum records the story of The Great War and has many valuable and irreplaceable artifacts.

The A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie are proud to announce 2 new additions to their Acoustic Flooring range of products – Proscreed Trosiltech® and Ecoroll. Proscreed Trosiltech® is a high quality, 10mm double layer laminate designed for use as an underscreed layer. It is lightweight, with excellent impact sound performance, achieving a weighted reduction in impact sound pressure level of 33dB. Proscreed Trosiltech® provides a floating floor when using a concrete screed. Proscreed Trosiltech® is easy to install, and comes in large roll sizes, allowing a speedy installation.

The Gelder Group of Lincoln recently installed Regent Timber Cladding, from the A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie, onto a refurbishment project for Lincoln Police. The Architects – Stephen Robert Associates – specified Regent Cladding, in Natural finish, as a simple, yet effective way of covering a bland brickwork wall. The result was an aesthetically pleasing cladding which gave the building a modern, fresh new look. Regent Cladding is a softwood timber which, due to revolutionary preservative technology, comes with a standard 15 year warranty against timber rot and decay.

The A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie has supplied 1650m2 of their timber cladding for use on the New International School of Aberdeen. The school (ISA) specialises in offering an internationally recognised education for students of all nationalities. Based in Cults near Aberdeen, the school recently underwent a major new-build programme to replace the existing school, carried out by Stewart Milne Construction. One aspect of this was the installation of timber cladding externally.

The A. Proctor Group of Blairgowrie has supplied two of their innovative thermal insulation products – Spacetherm F and Retrophix - to a project at Edith Avenue, Moss Side, Manchester, for Mosscare Homes. The Architects, Bernard Taylor Partnership, wanted to use a product which had excellent thermal performance, however, as there were space limitations on some elevations, the thickness of the product was a crucial factor.

Built on the site of an old railway cutting this New Kindergarten will provide improved facilities at Bury Grammar Schools. After carrying out soil testing which showed extremely low levels of CO2 gas the governors decided to approve the installation of a high performance gas barrier to make sure that all contingencies would be taken care of.
