    The first tenants have been welcomed to a new development of homes in Buckden, Cambridgeshire by Peterborough-based housing association Accent Nene. Councillor John Davies from Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) and chairman of the Accent Nene board Cliff Walker welcomed Danielle Miller and son Luca to their new home in Cranfield Close, Buckden at an official opening event.

    Building and construction sites present a significant danger to young people. Nowhere is this truer than on large developments close to schools. The Windmill Estate development at Fulbourn in Cambridgeshire is one such development. The Windmill Estate is close to the Fulbourn Primary School. Because it takes its community responsibilities very seriously, Accent Nene - the local housing association responsible for the development - has been actively encouraging children at the school to understand the danger of playing on building sites.

  • Accent Nene Maintenance Investment Good News for Residents  - 20/06/2008 Application

    Peterborough housing association Accent Nene - part of the Accent Group - is investing over £3 million a year in maintaining its 3,500 rented and shared equity homes throughout Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, East Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland and Nottinghamshire. Over £2 million of this is being used for kitchen and bathroom renovations, heating and boiler renewal, the replacement of TV aerials and exterior decorations. Last year 117 kitchens were replaced, together with 54 central heating systems.

  • New Accent Nene development at Duxford opened by council housing chief  - 15/10/2007 News

    Councillor Daphne Spink, housing and environmental services portfolio holder at South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC), has officially opened a development of twelve affordable rented homes at Duxford, Cambridgeshire. The homes - at Maarnford Close, Hunts Road - have been built by housing association Accent Nene. Chairman of the board at Accent Nene, Cliff Walker, said: "Accent Nene enjoys a positive working relationship with South Cambridgeshire District Council and we are pleased that Councillor Spink agreed to join us to officiate in the opening ceremony.
